#ຜົນສຳເລັດກອງປະຊຸມປະຈຳປີ 2024 ແລະ ຜ່ານທິດທາງແຜນການເຄື່ອນໄຫວປີ 2025 ຂອງສະມາ ຄົມຊາວກະສິກອນລາວ

#Successful of the Annual Meeting 2024 and Work Plan 2025 of Lao Farmer Association.

The Lao Farmer Association (LFA) successfully held its Annual Meeting on February 11-12, 2025, at the LFA office in Vientiane Capital. The event was funded by the AGREEN project and attended by 50 participants, including farmer organization members and government partners. The meeting aimed to review the achievements of 2024, discuss ongoing project activities within each Commodities Network (ComNET), and outline work plans for 2025.

The meeting commenced with an opening speech by Mr. Khammoun Xaymany, President of the Lao Farmer Association, and was co-chaired by Mr. Souvanhthong Namvong, Deputy director general of department of agricultural extension and cooperatives. The chairs highlighted the organization’s milestones and expressed appreciation for the collective efforts of all members and stakeholders. This was followed by presentations on key success 2024 of Commodities Network development and plan for 2025.

During the meeting, Mr. Phoutthasinh Phimmachanh, Director of LFA, delivered detailed presentations on the organization's progress. A major highlight of the discussions was the expansion of LFA’s membership to 210 organizations, success and ongoing of nine agribusiness plan developments and the improvement of production, as well as the support of policies that benefit to the members of the Lao Farmers Association.

The meeting concluded the key plans for 2025 for the four commodity networks: rice, vegetables, tea and coffee. Policy engagement will focus on access to finance, improving communication channels between members and the Association, discussing the Association's revolving fund, improving the Youth Governing Board and the Youth Agribusiness Revolving Fund, and continuing collaboration in relevant sectors, improving the Association's organization and funds, and promoting the sustainability of the Association.
